　　"I chose the Chinese language and literature major from the beginning, and the elegant humanistic atmosphere of East China Normal University made me fascinated." Deng Yawen has regarded Tang poetry and Song poetry as a part of his life since he was a child. When I was still in infancy, my mother often held Xiao Yawen in her arms and used ancient poetry as a lullaby. Spring Dawn, Goose Chanting, at heron lodge, Early Birthday City, etc. are all her first poems when she babbled.

　　In 2019, at the age of 13, she participated in the fourth season of the Chinese Poetry Conference, and passed all the way, becoming the only four-time champion in the fourth season, and also letting the national audience know this talented young woman with a poetry book. She said that her favorite poet was Liu Yuxi of the Tang Dynasty, and she liked the sentence "Only peony is the true national color, and the capital moves when it blooms". "I hope I can be as wonderful as the peony flowers in my hometown, and at the same time have a faithful and elegant character".

　　During middle school, Deng Yawen insisted on taking half an hour to read ancient poems every day. "In high school, I like to read ancient poems during my lunch break, which is the best rest for me." For her, those ancient poems are not knowledge points that need to be memorized, but a medium for dialogue with teachers and friends who span time and space.

　　Every year in the college entrance examination season, the Admissions Office of East China Normal University sends a large number of enrollment teachers to senior high schools to provide enrollment consulting services for candidates. After the college entrance examination scores were announced, Deng Yawen met the enrollment group teacher of East China Normal University who went to Henan at the high school's recruitment consultation meeting, and kept in touch with the enrollment consultation teacher through QQ group.

　　The profound tradition of classical literature research in the Chinese Department of East China Normal University deeply attracted her. "I am convinced that the humanistic atmosphere and profound literary background of East China Normal University are what I want." Deng Yawen said.

　　It is reported that as early as 1995, the Chinese Department of East China Normal University was approved by the State Education Commission as the first batch of talent training and scientific research bases for basic liberal arts disciplines in China.
