The bronze altar, which debuted for the first time, reflects the division of labor of different functional personnel and their religious concepts in the major ritual activities in Sanxingdui period. The altar can be roughly divided into three layers: bronze altar base, bronze beast and bronze top altar portrait.

The excavation and assembly of bronze altars took more than 30 years, from 1986 to 2022. The researchers collected the "parts" of the bronze altar from four sacrificial pits, and compared the broken stubble, model line and decorative pattern of the bronze to make it look like today.

The bronze sacred tree, which is nearly 4 meters high, is the "treasure of the town hall" of Sanxingdui and the "final work" of the new hall.

In the exhibition space specially reserved for "Tongtianshen Tree", No.1 bronze sacred tree is divided into three layers, with three branches on each layer, with flowers and fruits on the branches, a bird with a crowned head, a dragon descending from the tree, and its front foot stepping on the mountain-shaped base plate of the sacred tree. The bronze sacred tree is big, exquisite, strange and beautiful, and the superb casting technology 3000 years ago is clear at a glance.

  (3) Gold mask

It is the heaviest gold mask unearthed in Sanxingdui at present. It weighs about 280 grams and contains about 85% gold. Because it is too thick, it can stand alone without support.

This is the only golden bird-shaped ornament unearthed in Sanxingdui at present, like golden phoenix or golden peacock spreading its wings. Contrary to the "too thick" of the gold mask, this gold ornament is very thin, only 0.12 mm.
