Sima Entropy: Revisiting Classics-Abandoning Fantasy and Preparing for Battle

The fourth volume of Mao Xuan<丢掉幻想,准备斗争>The article (August 14th, 1949) wrote: Acheson's white paper indicated that American imperialists were at their wit's end about the current situation in China. The Kuomintang is so useless that no matter how much it is helped, it is doomed to die. They can't control it, and they are helpless. Acheson said in his letter: "The ominous outcome of the civil war in China is beyond the control of the US government, which is unfortunate but inevitable. Within the reasonable range of our country's ability, everything we have done and may do can't change this ending; The reason why this ending finally happened is not because we did something less. This is the product of various forces within China. China has tried to influence these forces, but it has no effect. "

According to logic, Acheson's conclusion should be that, according to the ideas or statements of some confused intellectuals in China, "put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha", "the robber will be a good person", and treat the people's China with equality and mutual benefit, and never do any more disruptive work. But no, Acheson said, it's still going to be disruptive, and it's definitely going to be disruptive. The logic of the imperialists is so different from that of the people.

Make trouble, fail, make trouble again, fail again and perish-this is the logic of imperialism and all reactionaries in the world in treating the people's cause, and they will never violate this logic. This is a Marxist law. When we say "imperialism is fierce", we mean that its nature cannot be changed. Imperialists will never lay down their butcher knives, and they will never become Buddhists until their demise.

Fight, fail, fight again, fail again, fight again until victory-this is the logic of the people, and they will never violate this logic. This is another law of Marxism. The Russian people's revolution once followed this law, and so did the China people's revolution.

Advanced people, communist party people, democratic parties, awakened workers, young students and progressive intellectuals have the responsibility to unite with the middle class, the middle school, the backward elements in all walks of life and all those who are still wavering and hesitating (these people will continue to waver for a long time, be firm and waver in case of difficulties), and help them with goodwill, criticize their vacillation, educate them and win them over.

The slogan "Prepare for Struggle" is for people who still have some illusions about the relationship between China and imperialist countries, especially the relationship between China and the United States. They are still passive on this issue, and have not made up their minds, nor have they made up their minds to fight against American imperialism (and British imperialism) for a long time, because they still have illusions about the United States. On this issue, they still have a great or considerable distance from us. The publication of the American white paper and Acheson's letter is worth celebrating, because it has given China the idea of old democracy, that is, democratic individualism, and poured cold water on people's democracy, or democratic collectivism, or democratic centralism, or collective heroism, or internationalism patriotism, disapproval, dissatisfaction, or some dissatisfaction, even disgust, but people who still have patriotism and are not Kuomintang reactionaries. Especially for those who believe that everything is fine in the United States and hope that China can learn from the United States, they poured cold water on it. All the past, eventful years. Looking back on the past and learning from history.

At present, our relationship with American imperialists is at a very fierce crossroads. In essence, our struggle with the American imperialists has been going on, but some gaudy branches and leaves or appearances have obscured the truth and truth behind them. In the 21st century, especially in the last three years, the bottom line and cards of the relationship between China and the United States have been clearly revealed. Whether to break the bottom line or have a showdown is imminent and has embarked on a warm-up stage. However, some of us are still superstitious about the appeasement policy in the style of wooing, or engage in self-comfort, self-paralysis and wishful thinking. These, all are not enough! As far as ordinary people are concerned, we should at least be mentally and ideologically prepared to fight.

Why? Because the struggle has already begun and the battle has already started, which is concentrated in trade, science and technology, finance and diplomacy. It should be pointed out that the so-called de-risk, that is, the foreshadowing or final preparation before the US imperialists launch a hot war rehearsal, is to remove or eliminate risks for decoupling during the hot war, and is to prepare in advance to reduce losses. This is the biggest reason why they say one thing and do another, which makes us feel that they fool others and fool themselves, just like schizophrenia and split personality, because the American imperialists are guilty and contradictory, and their attempts are hard to see.

Looking at the relationship between China and the West in modern times, it started from the trade war, followed by the Opium War. The British often called it the first Sino-British war or "trade war", which was an unjust war of aggression launched by Britain against China from 1840 to 1842, and also the beginning of China's modern humiliation history. The background of the war is like this. After the completion of the industrial revolution, Britain needs a vast market as an export destination for goods, and China just meets this condition and can become a dumping destination for British goods. As luxury goods such as tea, silk and porcelain produced in China are very popular in the European market, the British hope that China can open its trade. However, industrial products such as wool and woolen cloth exported by Britain were not favored in China, and the Qing government refused to trade with Britain, which made Sino-British trade bring huge trade deficit to Britain.

In the 18th century, Britain began to implement the gold standard monetary policy, while the Qing court used silver as the currency. As all trade with China needed to be converted into silver, Britain needed to buy silver from the European continent for trade purposes, and the profits of the British were damaged when gold and silver were bought and sold. In terms of tax rate, China needs to levy a high tax rate of 20% on British imports, which makes Britain very dissatisfied. In 1840 (the 20th year of Daoguang), the British government decided to send an expeditionary force to invade China on the pretext of Destruction of Opium at Humen of Lin Zexu. In June, 1840, 47 British ships and 4,000 people from the army, led by Rear Admiral george elliot and the Commercial Supervision Law in China, arrived outside the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong, blocking Haikou, and the Opium War began.

In other words, as the legacy of Anglo-Saxon, the United States has replaced Britain in the past, and their aggressive and predatory nature has not been abandoned at all, but has intensified. At present, the implied war between China and the United States, which is dominated by trade war and supplemented by science and technology war, financial war and diplomatic war, has already started, but it is still in a controllable state and form. How to interpret, how to deal with, and how to end, we really need to prepare for the worst. Only in this way can we put an end to going back to the old road after the Opium War. Although our country is very strong now, we must never be careless or insensitive. We must recognize the true face of imperialism's hypocrisy, abandon the wishful fantasy of hello and I am good, prepare for the fight and accept it, and don't even assume that the other side will be soft-hearted. In a word, we should sharpen our knives faster, polish our guns brighter, and prepare more food and ammunition, so that we can calmly face the coming storms and even bullets.
