　　On July 27th, 2023, the second theme reading activity of the reading salon series of "Learning the Classics of Party History and Pushing New Works" was held in Guangzhou Literary Citizen Space.

　　The activity invited Chen Chongzheng, the author of A Tale of Beauty City, to share the sci-fi literature creation in the era of artificial intelligence with readers on the theme of "Science Fiction Literature in the Bay Area under the Background of Artificial Intelligence".

　　This activity is sponsored by Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Guangzhou Association of Literary Volunteers, undertaken by Guangzhou Writers Association, and co-organized by Guangzhou Literature and Art Newspaper Society and Guangzhou Association of Literary Critics.

　　In July this year, The Tale of Beauty City was officially published. This is a work that Chen Chongzheng conceived for many years, and it is also another excavation towards the creation of science fiction literature. At the event site, Chen Chongzheng told the creative story behind The Tale of Beauty City from the perspectives of his growth process and schooling experience.

　　The prototype of the Beauty City in the novel is a ruin around Chaozhou, which was later used and developed. "The Chaoshan Plain has become a mirror, reflecting the light of reality and history. In this land that attaches great importance to the inheritance of blood, there stands a castle, and the underground chamber of the castle is the biggest fable of the whole story. " Chen Chongzheng said.

　　In the process of creation, Chen Chongzheng felt the call from the south, and constantly recalled to the south of the south, which opened up a lot of imagination about the "Beauty City", including the concern for the future human destiny.

　　In his view, previous novels focused on human history, not past events, and there should be a searchlight to look ahead and cross just visiting to pay attention to the future of mankind.

　　Regarding the imagination of science fiction literature and the writing in the AI era, Chen Chongzheng believes that "there are many dimensions about the imagination of the future, and science fiction is just one of them." Regarding the core of science fiction literature, we should pay attention to and discuss the relationship between science and technology and human beings. He thinks that "the brain opening is a device, while human compassion is a poem, and a good work is always the fusion of device and poem."

　　The Notes of Beauty City has been affirmed by the famous writer Su Tong, who thinks that the story of Beauty City is very solid and writes a sense of futurity and science fiction.

　　At the event site, the hosts Yang Xi and Chen Chongzheng discussed the special significance of the creation of A Tale of a Beauty City, the influence of the integration of new southern literature consciousness and the development of the times on the creation, and the development prospect, suggestions and expectations of Greater Bay Area science fiction literature under the background of artificial intelligence.
