The ceremony of paying homage to Mazu culture in Taihang started.

Recently, Typhoon Du Surui became a hot search, and the anti-typhoon artifacts in the southeast coastal areas were once popular, among which Mazu on Meizhou Island in Putian, Fujian Province was frequently mentioned. Speaking of Mazu, many northerners think that Mazu is the god of southerners and is too far away from herself. In fact, most residents in ancient Fujian were northerners who migrated from the Central Plains. In history, it was the southern crossing in the Western Jin Dynasty, and the northern gentry moved to Fujian to avoid chaos. The second time was in the Southern Song Dynasty, when a large number of northerners entered Fujian. Because Fujian was mountainous, the terrain was complex and communication was inconvenient, Fujian retained more traditional cultures of China during the Song and Ming Dynasties. Minnan dialect was called the fossil of ancient Chinese, and it was the Mazu belief culture that spread for thousands of years, which was the continuation and development of excellent traditional culture.

Mazu belief originated in the Song Dynasty and has a history of thousands of years. It is an excellent part of Chinese traditional culture. Mazu has tens of thousands of temples all over the world, covering 49 countries and regions, with over 300 million followers. Wherever there are Chinese, there must be Chinatown, and there must be Mazu Tempel in Chinatown. Mazu is the cultural belief symbol of China's transition from a closed river civilization (agricultural civilization) to an open marine civilization (commercial civilization), and Henry Fok, Ma Wanqi, Chen Jianghe, Ma Ying-jeou, Guo Taiming and others are all loyal followers of Mazu. There is a proverb in Chaoshan area of Fujian and Guangdong: If you worship Mazu, you will make a fortune.

On September 30, 2009, Mazu Belief and Custom, with Mazu Festival as its main content, was included in the representative list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind by UNESCO. As an excellent traditional culture, Mazu culture has been listed in the 13th Five-Year Plan of China. In order to respond to the call of the government and give full play to the positive role of Mazu culture, the Taihang Mazu Cultural Friendship Association (to be established) invited a Mazu from Mazu Temple in Meizhou Island in May 2023 and settled in Shijiazhuang. According to records, this Mazu statue is the only one that has been distributed to North China from Mazu Temple in Meizhou since the middle of Qing Dynasty.

In order to inherit the feelings of Mazu's belief in home and country, carry forward the spirit of Mazu's virtue, kindness and great love, and meet the high-level spiritual needs of the broad masses of the people, the Taihang Mazu Cultural Friendship Association (to be established) decided to hold a ceremony of "paying homage to Mazu and praying for happiness" from now on.

Under the guidance of praise, the believers who participated in the ceremony of "paying homage to Mazu and praying for happiness and happiness" took flowers and fruits as gifts, accompanied by quaint music, and made three offerings to Mazu, praying for good luck, planting blessings and writing essays, praying for happiness and happiness for their families and careers, and inspiring people to overcome natural disasters such as heavy rain and floods.

The ceremony was held at the Preparatory Committee of the Mazu Cultural Friendship Association in Taihang, requiring believers to bathe and fast the night before worship. After the ceremony, a business exchange forum was held in Mazuhui living room, taking Mazu culture as a link to provide more opportunities for cooperation and development for enterprises. Due to the limitation of the venue, those who want to pay their respects need to make an appointment with the staff in advance for scheduling.
