Divorce disputes, true mediation, reconciliation, second time around

　　Recently, the grass-roots court in Baishishan Forest District successfully mediated a divorce dispute. The plaintiff Zhang and the defendant Zhao were introduced and married in 2009. After marriage, they had two daughters. The plaintiff claimed that the defendant could not see each other several times a year because he went out to work all the year round. Every time he met, it was a quarrel, and he could not afford the family expenses. Therefore, the two sides also tampered with it. After 2020, the defendant never took money from home, and the plaintiff had to work around for the life of the family and children. The plaintiff believed that the relationship between husband and wife was broken and asked for a divorce from the defendant.

　　After knowing the basic facts, the mediator organized the parties to conduct face-to-face mediation. After listening to the thoughts of both parties and patiently persuading them with children as a breakthrough, the emotions of both parties finally eased, and the defendant realized his mistake, expressing his unwillingness to divorce and his feelings. So the mediator tried to persuade and guide the plaintiff many times. Finally, the plaintiff expressed his willingness to give the defendant another chance. The defendant also promised to send money home regularly and visit his wife and children often.

　　The mediator saved not only a marriage, but two families. The dispute in this case was resolved, and the two sides, second time around, got back together. Marriage and family harmony is the foundation and premise of social stability, and resolving marriage and family disputes is an important aspect to further improve the diversified solution mechanism of contradictions and disputes. As far as possible, it is the starting point and the end result of our court's work to mediate the two sides and make up.
