The physics laboratory can monitor almost all the experimental equipment on board, so it can be called the "heart" of the laboratory. The first general laboratory: it is mainly used for continuous observation of surface seawater and related research of marine biology and marine geology. The main supporting deck sampling equipment includes benthic trawl, box sampler and gravity column. The second general laboratory: mainly provides relevant experimental equipment and places for marine chemical experiments, such as water sample analysis and marine plant analysis. Cryogenic laboratory: If there are experimental projects that need to be carried out in a low temperature environment, the laboratory can provide a constant low temperature environment for the experiment. Moon Pond Workshop: The important equipment for physical ocean research-CTD (Multi-parameter Ocean Observation System for Temperature and Salt Depth) is stored. During the operation, the side door is opened, the CTD is lowered, and seawater samples of different depths are collected, creating conditions for the follow-up study. The laboratory on the "Snow Dragon 2",It is not only the general name of the place, but also the abbreviation of a department. As a department of scientific research ship, the laboratory members-experimenters, are classified as "crew". As for its functions, Shen Yue, the director of the laboratory, said, "In a word, it is to ensure the normal operation of all shipboard scientific research equipment and the normal development of scientific research operations during the operation."
