  On August 4th, China Unicom released the Pre-qualification Announcement of China Unicom's 2023 centralized procurement project of 5G network equipment on the procurement and bidding network, indicating that China Unicom will purchase 690,000 stations (sets) of 5G network equipment and related harvesting materials and services (the above scale is estimated), with a total amount of 40.239 billion yuan (excluding tax).

  This tender is divided into two bidding packages: one is to purchase 660,000 stations (sets) of 5G new construction, renovation, upgrade and expansion network equipment and related auxiliary materials and services; The second is to purchase 30,000 stations (sets) of new, renovated, upgraded and expanded 5G network equipment and related auxiliary materials and services.

  The latest centralized purchase of 5G by the three major operators was the centralized purchase of 5G 700M wireless network main equipment and 5G 2.6GHz/4.9GHz base station by China Mobile in May.

  Among them, the main equipment of 5G 700M wireless network is centralized: a total of 161,000 base stations are collected, with a total amount of about 1.7 billion yuan, which is divided into three standard packages. The winning bidders are Huawei, ZTE, Nokia Bell, Datang Mobile and Ericsson.

  5G 2.6GHz/4.9GHz base station centralized acquisition: A total of 251,700 stations were collected, with a total amount of about 6 billion yuan, which was divided into two standard packages. The winning bidders were Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson, Datang Mobile and Nokia Bell.

  The total amount of China Unicom's centralized purchase of 5G network equipment is as high as 40.239 billion yuan, which is definitely a large purchase in the second half of this year.
