From August 2nd to 4th, the 2023 Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Archery Championship (indoor) was held in Yongning County. The recurve bow women's team of Yongning County Archery Team set a record for Ningxia archery women's team with the score of 1572 rings, and won the first place in the women's team in the ranking competition and many other good results.
More than 140 athletes from 13 units in the whole region participated in this competition, and the Yongning County Archery Team sent 10 athletes to participate. The competition includes recurve bow women's and men's ranking competitions, women's and men's team competitions and mixed team competitions. On the field, the contestants held their breath, buckled their strings and opened their bows, and competed in the same field, showing the youthful style of young people in the new era.
In this competition, the athletes of Yongning county archery team played a stable role, and the recurve bow women's team won the first place in the group, and created a women's team record in recurve bow, Ningxia with a score of 1572 rings; The men's team won the second place in the ranking competition, the women's team and the men's team all entered the semi-finals, and the results of the four players participating in our county reached the national second-class athlete level.

The archery in Yongning County started in June, 2021. In the in-depth cooperation between the county sports center and the county No.2 middle school, more than 50 students were selected to join the county archery team. In recent years, Yongning County Archery Team has won 9 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals in all kinds of archery competitions at all levels, further enhancing the popularity of Yongning County Archery in the whole region.
