Among the 142 national weather stations in the province, 103 have the maximum precipitation of rainstorm and above, 10 have the maximum daily precipitation exceeding its historical extreme value, and 16 have accumulated precipitation exceeding the annual value of the sum of precipitation in the whole summer.

  The precipitation process has the characteristics of long duration, large accumulated rainfall, wide coverage and strong precipitation intensity. According to the statistics from 8: 00 on July 29th to 8: 00 on August 2nd, the precipitation area in Hebei covers an area of 185,000 square kilometers, and the average accumulated precipitation in the whole province is 176.3mm. The precipitation in Liangjiazhuang, Lincheng County is the largest, which is 1003.4mm, and the extreme rainfall is second only to 2051mm in August 1963.

  During this extreme precipitation weather, 103 of the 142 national weather stations in Hebei Province have the maximum precipitation of rainstorm and above, of which 57 national weather stations have reached the rainstorm and above, and 4 national weather stations have reached the rainstorm level. On July 30th, the range of rainstorm and above, rainstorm and above in Hebei Province was the second widest in a single day in history.

  In this process, among the 142 national weather stations in Hebei province, the daily maximum precipitation of 10 national weather stations exceeded its historical extreme value; The accumulated precipitation of 79 national weather stations exceeds the perennial value of the whole month precipitation in July, and the accumulated precipitation of 16 national weather stations in Zanhuang, Yixian and Shunping exceeds the perennial value of the sum of the whole summer precipitation.

  Compared with the previous four extreme rainstorm processes since the meteorological record in Hebei Province, the cumulative rainfall, single station extreme rainfall and maximum rainfall intensity of this process all exceeded the extreme rainstorm processes in 1996, 2012 and 2016. At the same time, the number and proportion of stations with rainstorm and above all exceeded those in 1963, 1996 and 2012.
