Firefighter Feng Zhen was approved as a martyr after 90 years of sacrifice in flood control and emergency rescue.

　　At 11: 49 on July 31, the command center of Beijing Haidian District Fire Rescue Detachment received a report that three people were trapped in the flood in the Zhonglian automobile trading market of Haidian Driving School, and immediately dispatched rescue forces to the scene for disposal. At that time, at 12: 15, when the rescue vehicle group of Xixiaoying Small Station was driving to Bei 'an North Road, a crowd trapped in the torrent of mountain torrents suddenly waved to the vehicle group for help. The situation was very critical, and the team leader Feng Zhen immediately organized the team members to start rescue. During the rescue, one member of the team was washed down by the rapids due to the sudden surge of the flood. Feng Zhen ignored his personal safety and tried his best to push him to a safe area, so that the trapped people and the team members escaped safely. Feng Zhen was washed away by the flood because of exhaustion of continuous combat physical strength. At 12: 47, Comrade Feng Zhen was rescued, but failed after all efforts, and died tragically at 18: 22.

　　After the sacrifice of Comrade Feng Zhen, the main responsible comrades of the Emergency Management Department, the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and the State Fire and Rescue Bureau demanded that all efforts should be made to provide after-care pensions and expressed condolences to Comrade Feng Zhen's family.

　　Feng Zhen, male, Han nationality, party member of the Communist Party of China, born in Wenshang County, Shandong Province, was born in December 1992 and joined the fire fighting work in December 2009. Before his death, he was the squad leader of Special Service Class 1 of Beianhe Fire Rescue Station in Haidian District, Beijing, the stationmaster of Xixiaoying Small Station, and the title of first-class fireman. Since joining the work, Comrade Feng Zhen has been fighting in the front line of fire fighting and rescue. He has participated in more than 3,500 fire fighting and rescue operations and rescued more than 150 people in distress. He has been awarded the third-class merit twice and four awards, and has been awarded the title of "Advanced Individual in Post Training" for many times.
